BACKGROUND:
James P. Hillman  is a senior associate attorney with the law firm of White & MacDonald, LLP.  Mr. Hillman’s experience includes counsel to property owners, contractors, and community associations in a myriad of matters.  

Mr. Hillman has litigated construction and purchase disputes involving residential and commercial properties.  Mr. Hillman also has experience handling mass and class action litigation matters.  Mr. Hillman has represented clients in various construction defect resolution procedures including the California Builder’s “Right to Repair Act” (SB 800) and the Calderon Act.

In addition, Mr. Hillman has served as general counsel to community associations, assisting them in enforcement matters, document interpretation and revision, fiduciary liability, and statutory compliance.
